My dad worked in Alfonso XII library, Seville’s most important library when I was a child. I spent infinite hours among its corridors and shelves. I still remember myself looking for an specific title in the file cabinets. I cannot avoid thinking how things have changed.
Apart from this, I am the youngest of 7 siblings who love reading, so I could say I have grown up among books, magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, etc.
There is something in common when people read; we are captivated by our reads. We all rest for a while in a wonderful, amazing, collective world which belongs to everyone and no one, and that is what people from pictures may feel. They all are seemed connected. I cannot imagine another similar connecting situation except music.
Getting back to the library where I played in my childhood and that is related to the pictures 1 and 4, I have to say I used to read everything that fell into my hands in my mother tongue, I must confess I have devoured 90’s fashion magazines as well.
At school, I loved those English graded reading series about mystery, terror and adventures that my English teacher recommended us.
Nowadays, I am more selective when choosing a book and I read less than I used to. Thrillers and history are my favourite although I also enjoy essays and philosophy books. Last February I was given an e book for my birthday but I have not used it yet. I like paper, touching the pages, the smell, I may be a melancholic, and although I recognize the advantages of electronic books , I think reading paper books connects with emotional areas which take me back to my childhood and this is a powerful reason to keep on being analog.
Dear Marta,
ResponderEliminarI can see you are specialized in Blogger, despite you haven’t used it for a period, but it is clear you enjoy it. It shows you are enthusiastic and love your job, and that’s something teaching needs nowadays. I liked you have a list with different areas, very practical, and something that maybe could be improved is to removed the updated homework worksheets if you don’t need them.
Well done!
Hello Marta
ResponderEliminarYour blog is pretty cool. When I started to make my blog, I never thought I could integrate images in every entry and when I saw that you had one in each post, I have learnt something new of your blog. Thanks a lot. In the future, I think, I would integrate them as well as videos if I can. It is a way to make the blog more visual. Besides, I liked the way you post any activity. It is simple and helps the reader to see the information easier.
Thanks for your job.
